Not very.

Raise the seat, remove the battery cover, attach the cables to the battery, replace cover, close seat, plug in battery tender.

That's assuming you want to leave the battery tender pig tail hooked up to the battery all the time.

If not do steps 1-3 then step step 6. When you are ready to remove the tender just reverse.

Thanks, it took all of about 10 minutes. I know it probably sounded simple to most but I just wanted it to go smoothly, all I had to do after was reset the clock.

The battery tender addition is well worth it and as you found out very easy to install. I have mine so the pig tail is hanging out just a wee bit (<<<<Technical Term) on the left side of the scoot under the seat so as soon as I back in the garage I do not even have to raise the seat to plug it in.

(+) RED to (+) RED and (-) BLACK to (-) terminals.

that's pretty much it.
