Battery Replacement Opinions

Hello..... I have a 2003 Suzuki Burgman 400. The YUASA battery of 11 years needs replaced. Should I get another YUASA battery or are there better batteries for the cost? Thanks!

YUASA are good batteries. I think the same units are sometimes labelled as FB or “Furukawa Batteries”

Plenty of batteries available that will work fine, try to find a local vendor where you can warranty exchange easier. Stay away from "Big Box Store" cheap Chinese brands, you can get better quality "Chinese" at Batteries Plus with 1 year warranty, my go to place for years (y) I know the 03-06 use 12-BS, but I think 9-BS will work fine (is OEM on 07+) in either case here the links Xtreme 12-BS 12V 185CCA AGM Powersport Battery - CYLA12BSXTA at Batteries Plus Xtreme 9-BS 12V 120CCA AGM Powersport Battery - CYLA9BSXTA at Batteries Plus

BTW there's this deal at batteries +

I usually get dry YUASA's off Amazon, fill 'em and charge 'em so I have as fresh a battery as I can.
This has worked well for me. I stick with AGM since my climate's marginal for Li-Ion during the winter.

When getting a cheapie or there's no YUASA and I need AGM I use Battery Sharks. So far so good, & I'm sure others who sell prefilled chinese batteries are as good.
Before ordering from any one of them.
READ THE DETAILS. I've caught more than a couple that will say AGM then link you to acid flooded type.

Also

READ THE REVIEWS. Cheap batteries technically cost about the same to make for similar specs, but cut corners on QC at about every level. QC is expensive. So they need to have a great return policy and really honor it. The reviews on a neutralish site will normally show how they work with that (Amazon for instance).
You may never have an issue, but if you do you want an easy cheap return, or your savings disappear quickly.

Cheers.

Thank you !!
You will be hard pressed to find a better battery or longer lasting battery than a Yuasa. I received 9 years service twice out of Yuasa's thinking that was good. Wow, 11 years is amazing, record book service, why look for anything else?
