Guy was sitting in the road stopped - no signals on or anything indicating what he was going to do and yakking with someone in a house having a garage sale...took umbrance when I used the horn lightly...not agressively.

He did not know he was being filmed. I apologized for my perceived transgression thinking that it's a problem stopping to chat in the middle of the road....

He was spoiling for a fight - yattering on about "I'm a local" etc which leads us to wonder what the result would be of sending this to the county sheriff since he tailgated ( my son thought it was way too close given the pace ) and forced me to stop to hear out his rant. I just channeled Yoda and stayed calm and reasonable until he wound down.

I offered to shake his hand ( which you can see and his negative reaction) which took him aback. He just wanted to rage so I let him.

We passed him later parked along the side of the road - facing the wrong way for traffic of course....Kenz was worried that he was going to follow but he was likely just trying to avoid apoplexy
.....yah never know.
Thought there were some banjo's about....:D

Im sorry you had to suffer this nonsense.
May I ask where in PA this happened? IVe lived all over PA and out of curiosity, I would like to know where this happened. Im guessing a tourist destination like Lanco Amish country if he felt the need to keep saying "local".

This was just north of Renovo on 144 which has motorcycle traffic big time same road

and you simply don't stop in the middle of highway and chat without some indicator on....

All had to do was decide to turn left if we went by and we're toast.....he needed to know we were there and his focus was on his chat - not his rear view mirror.

Wonder what he would have said if the lead rider here had politely hit his Stebel..:D

I would hand it over to the local sheriffs department.

Well done for staying calm. I fear I may have succumbed to parking the bike and introducing him to the merits of wearing head protection.:p

That motorist is lucky he wasn't introduced
to the business end of a .38, with the suggestion
that he get back into his vehicle & be on his way,
& mind his OWN business.
Never ever get out of your vehicle,
& challenge another motorist....
you're just asking for trouble.

People are very friendly and helpful in this part of PA and this guy had a bad day or something tho there are some scary libertarian denizens dwelling in the hills there....my tow driver was one.....the second tow driver made up for the first. :D

I'm about as threatening as

my only gripe with riding in the US is
a) food
b) lack of good coffee

Not to justify the A-Hole's performance. However I live on a very pleasant drive, the east boundary of our older residential neighborhood, that meanders along the Intracoastal Waterway for 6 miles. The speed limit is 25 mph for the whole 6 miles.

Twice a year, in the spring during Bike Week and then again during Biketoberfest, we get hundreds of bikes riding through. The guys on the cruisers are generally well behaved though noisy as heck at times; however most the crotch rocket riders make me wish I had a cache of LAWS rockets.

They blast by at 60+ mph, two or three abreast, pulling wheelies in the straights, with complete disregard for anything except their own rice-fueled dreams of being Speed-Racer. I told my wife that I was going to string a pop-up steel cable across the road.

You had mentioned that the area is one frequented by bikes, this guy may have just been pushed beyond that edge we all have...
