Hi. I have started tinkering with my Burgman 400 2008. I have downloaded some service manual and it says it is for k7 k8 and k9. Today I measured belt width and I am confused because it was 26.5mm but manual says about 25 for the new one. So I guess this manual is not up to date since 2008?
Could you please tell me what should be the correct width of belt? 27.7mm?
Another thing is clutch shoe thickness, should be 3mm for new one?
Regards

Just my thnkin, which is faulty most of the time, but there were changes between the k7 and k8, Sufficient to warrant a new manual, If it were me , I'd look for a k8 thru k12 (i think) manual.

The Suzuki AN400/A Service Manual (99500-34102-03E) shows 26.1 (1.03) Drive V-belt width w/limit of 25.1 (0.99) for the 2008. Same for the 2007. V-belt width is a little smaller for the 2009 at 25.1 (0.99) w/limit of 24.1 (0.95).

The info for the 2007 is in the main part of the service manual, the 2008 and 2009 info is in addendums added to the manual.

So I can sell my gently worn collection of old 2008 belts to 2009 people? 😀
