What impact does a waterproof cover have on a rainy day when the temperature is in the high 90's. Can they withstand high temperature? My friend tried a Zip-lock bag over his Garmin and it got too hot to touch. He turned it off for fear it would self destruct.

I found the same using an AquaBox for my iPhone. It got very hot and I stopped using it.
