Hi, I'm W0CKI. Located in Las Vegas NV. No radio on the Burgman and I don't think I will. Never was much in to mobile. Licensed since 1954. Keep me up to date if you try an installation. On 20 CW as I write this.

I'm also a Tech, but I've never used the license. I just had the opportunity to take the test several years ago and wondered if I could still keep up with the code.

Any Amateur Radio Operators out there?

Hello from WF5G. Have been riding for close to 40 years and never mounted a radio of any kind on a two wheeler. Guess I just like the peace and quiet. Am always interested in installations by others. If you do an install, hope you post details and photos.

Any ham operators?

Yes, indeed....
I'm N7LO and have a mobile Yaesu 857 w/ATAS 120 in my RV, but
haven't thought too much about installing one on a Burgman (which I don't yet have in my "inventory"). It might be handy to have a dual-band FM HT in the glove box or pocket, in case of emergency.
Best wishes for New Year 2005!

KYT4357. Actually that's was for a CB back when they needed a license.
Had all the ditty picking I needed to last a lifetime from the Army, never bothered to take it up afterward. I have to think hard to even remember all the alphabet but that was over fourty years ago.

MANY years ago I had a neighbor who was a ham, K7KYH, and I used to visit him sometimes when he was working voice.

I started working on my license once, but lost interest. I may get back into it one of these days.

Yeah, why not. That was fun, and I've hardly even thought about the code in 20 years. :)

Greetings Sails:
My name is Jerry H and I am a General Class Ham Operator. Have a rig in the truck but don't have one installed on the Burgie 400. Don't know if I will install one as I have a handy talkie that will work fine for me. Hope you enjoy your ride and have fun.

Any Amateur Radio Operators Out There?

Hi Brian, as well as anyone else interested.......
The last couple years it's been easier than ever to get a Ham LIcense.
Just a short multiple choice quiz for the Tech (no code) license and an
easy 5 wpm code test plus a bit more technical & regulation stuff on the General and Extra multiple choice tests.
So.... check it out!
Best Wishes,
Loren
