After hitting the wear bars on my oem Bridgestone at a little over 3000 miles decided I would try the Darkside... After reading several car tire comparsions between summer/performance, all season and winter tires...that the summer/performance had the best dry/wet traction.. Found the Kumho Solus KH17 165/60R14 performance tire at TireBuyer delivered to my door for $46.69.. the mounting was a hassle.. I ended up taking the oem tire off... went to serveral places trying to get the new tire mounted without any luck... one place put tire on and couldn't set the bead and pulled the tire back off and said didn't want any part of that... then found a cycle shop that would mount the tire but would not try to set the bead...ok got the tire on... managed to get the bead set on one side but my compressor was not good enough for the other side... back to the car tire places.. Discount Tire tried but their compressors wouldn't go high enough...then to NTB...sure was happy when they got that bead set.... now have to get it on the road and see how I like it....

Hi Hamie,
I'm sure you're going to like that darkside tire. I sure like them, between Burgman 650 and Goldwing GL1800 I've put about 63,000 miles on them, absolutely no problems.

Rode 90 miles on the new tire this morning and the only downside is that now there is a 5.7% error in the odometer.. the speedometer improved from the 10% to a 7% error.. based on the trip computer of my Garmin GPS.. after several miles getting use to the new tire like any new tire change everthing felt normal.. And at the end of the 90 miles I feel that the new tire rides better and handles better than the oem I removed..so for now I am happy with my Darkside tire...

Running 36 PSI with 9 oz of Ride-On tire sealant/balancer.....
