Hi Guys

Just found the site - referred in our Ulysses site in Australia.
Have owned a Silver Burger since July 04 and love it: except for the seat. I've found it a little on the firm side after an hour or so. Will be keeping an eye on the posts here about alternatives and remedies. I've already been able to gather a lot of information. Trouble is I don't think we have the same resources for after market stuff as you guys do.

Anyway good to be here and look forwward to returning lots!

Regards to all

Hey Monnica (BurgWOman)
Good to hear from you. I saw a reference for this site on the Ulysses site and popped in to have a look and what do I find but a post from Oz. And guess who it was. Have spent a lot of time (too much !!) here already and found it to be great reference with a lot of good people!!

I usually intend to pop in and have a quick look but end up spending hours surfing - so I don't get any work done!

No doubt will see you here from time to time but also at Ulysses back home. Look forward to seeing your Green Machine. Get busy with that scanner!!

Thanx for saying Hi.

Hi Norman

Not familiar with the terms 'svelte'or 'lardy' over here - excuse my ignorance!! Its a bog standard 2004 Burger which you can get in any colour you like as long as its silver. I know Monnica (BurgWOman) has a green one but she is in Western Australia which is on the other side of our vast land. Haven't seen any green ones on the east coast.

As always there is always a cold tinnie in the fridge any time you are passing!!

Regards

Bill

Kiroa from New Zealand

Hi. I just purchased a TEAL GREEN burgman and managed to put about 1500 km on it in a couple of days riding. Wow, what a machine. I turned my recently purchased new softail heritage in on it, much to the dissappointment of my riding buddies, but I'm "over the moon" in the way it handles and the enjoyment I'm getting out of it.
What a great sight this is. I've read almost everything in it and have made plans to add a number of things that I have seen and read discussed.
Thanks you guys. It's great to have such a resource at ones fingertips.

Cheers.........John

Took me a bit to pick up on that one, too. The 400 is 'svelte' -- lighter/sleeker/nimbler. The 650 is a 'lardy' -- a bit more bulbous/heavier. Terms coined here on this bulletin board, I assume...

Teal Green Burgman

You are right! I did buy a 650. Didn't even know there was a teal green offering...I just went into the dealership and asked them to find me a "new" 650. I also said that I didn't want a silver and would prefer something other than blue. I thought I might score a black, but that color is only offered in the executive model down here. I was surprised when they called me up and said they had secured a teal green. I'm chuffed at the color and from what I can gather, this color is limited in NZ.
