How long should a set of brake pads last on a 2011 AN400. I've only got 2000 miles on it so I know it will last a while, just curious.

My rear brake pads were replaced
at about 23,000/24,000 miles.
My front pads are original with about
44,000 miles....lots of highway miles..
not as many city miles.

Rear 19k & 37k
Front 37k

About the same amount of city v highway riding. I ride a lot of twisties and trail brake a lot, so the rear gets a lot of use. They're easy to change and only cost $20. Not a big concern.

Brake mileage kinda depends
on how much you want to 'ride',
or how much you want to stop.

I service several Burgman 400's, all 2007+. Brake pads last a very variable amount of time and distance depending on how and where the bike is used. I have one guy who rides in London everyday and he needed new pad both front and back after just 10k miles. Pretty soon! Yet others have lasted 45,000 miles for front and even more for the rear. Riding style and where you ride is the key to how long they last. All weather riders wear them out faster too.

Well I love to ride and I really like stopping as opposed to NOT stopping.:)
