As a new owner of a 650 Burgman, with no owners manual, this forum has been a blessing. I started out for a ride and found the bike seemed like it was stuck in low gear. I was at a total loss as to how this happened. I pushed every button I could find, no luck. I rode back home and looked on the Forum. In a short time, I found the answer to the problem. I NEVER WOULD HAVE FOUND IT ON MY OWN.

ANSWER: The center stand has a switch that keeps the bike in what essentially is low gear. The bracket is low on the frame and is easily bent if you happen to bottom out on it. My driveway has a hump in it which caused the problem. Thanks to one of the Forum members, I checked, and with a little persuasion with a hammer, the problem was solved.

Thank you all for sharing!

It would be appropriate to name the forum member....don’t keep a basket over the light.
