Ahhh... I see now. I misread the comment as there were two different filters that I should take note of. CVT and transmission were likely the same thing being referred to.

Yes the CVT has an easy to replace air filter that gets neglected.
Remember to save the old frame and replace the filter material for a major savings.

Suzuki decided to "name" the reduction gear set between the clutch and final drive the "transmission" but it really is only a set of 4 reduction gears in an isolated casing. Not a classic "transmission" as most think of it.
The CVT is what has a small disk shaped air filter and there is no oil or other lube in the CVT. That's what many call a transmission but then there's that other set of gears that gets everyone confused.
