Do apply to Burgman owner as need JASO MA certification for protect Burgman wet clutch which Rotella T Triple 15W40 and Rotella T Synthetic 5W40 have, this answer receive by a motorcycle forum who send question to Shell about Rotella and receive this reply from Shell engineer.

Your both right. Ernie M doesn't have a wet clutch on his 400 so he doesn't have to consider it. Chérie has a wet clutch on his 650 so he does have to consider it.

Ok ill try to be clearer. What I should have said is, Rotella 15/40 dino still carries the JASO MA certification ,it's the synthetic 5/40 that no longer passes the cert. by .01% .

Me understand like this:

Rotella T Triple protection 15W40 and Rotella T6 synthetic 5W40 CJ-4 both pass JASO-MA rating.

Previous Rotella Synthetic CI-4 rating was just at limit for JASO MA.

NO, Rotella Synthetic 5w40 approve JASO - MA

There are 3 oils we are talking about. 1) is a dino oil=Good for your bike, 2) is a synthetic oil 5w40 CJ4= good for your bike, 3) is also a synthetic but with a CI4=NO GOOD for your bike. Also Amsoil is a very good oil.
