I've removed my passenger backrest and found this rack on eBay:

SUZUKI BURGMAN AN650 650 REAR RACK MOUNTING TRUNK TOP CASE

[attachment=0:1tsr9gmp]eBay rack.JPG[/attachment:1tsr9gmp]

I wonder if anyone else in the group has purchased and used this rack.
There seems quite limited racks available for the 650 and this one looks
the best to me, short of an OEM rack, which looks smaller.

I had a hard time trying to install that one in the image and didn't want to try to modify it and destroy it instead.

Maybe it was unfortunate the way mine turned out.

I did not have the patience so i returned it for a refund. I got the OEM rack which fit perfectly.

I wound up buying and installing this rack. It took a little work on the
rear panel holes that were made to install the backrest. Whoever had
done the backrest installation didn't do a neat job making the holes
round so I had to use my Dremel to re-work them. Since it didn't come
with hardware, I bought a couple of 1/2" I.D. Rubber Grommets and
split them with a razor blade to use between the legs of the backrest
and the plastic rear panel. Worked out pretty well.

The rack is made from steel tubing and is really heavy duty. May not
be for everybody but if you are handy with tools, I would consider
it a bargain compared to the $200.00 OEM rack.

Nice job. Looks good. You've inspired me. I may give it go as I'm too cheap to cough up the dough for and OEM model.
Have you put a load on it yet? I'd be curious to hear if you got any issues with it so far.

I too installed this, mounted a case on it too.

Same issues as others doesn't exactly fit and needed some dremeling but was the right price point.

Nice work, looks good! 👍🏻
Did you have to buy that cover plate separately? What’s the part number? I have a 2018 650 Executive and I’m looking to remove the passenger back rest for a more streamlined look. I don’t want to leave that gaping hole and don’t want to mount a top case either. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Here is the part you want: 2017 Suzuki AN650ZL7 Optional (Cover Set Pillion Rider) | CyclePartsNation Suzuki Parts Nation
There was no 2018 model listed at Suzuki Parts Nation or many other sources but it is the same part number for this item (and likely for the majority of other items)
It's item 1-2 if I'm right that the 2018 model is white. Don't be bothered that there are 2 of those items listed, they are the same so pick the one with the item name you like... oh, and the color of course.
Be sure to keep the 2 bolts that fit into the front of the lower backrest cover since you need those for this cover (the bolts that are just under the rear of the seat when its down).
I replaced my backrest and installed the official Suzuki top case including this cover and Suzuki rear rack. Found someone on this forum who was selling theirs.
Here's my thread on that project with some info that might be helpful: Installing the official Suzuki top case and mounting...
And here is my thread on just removing the backrest: Removing the factory backrest from a 2013+ Burgman 650
In post 5 I included a link to another thread for installing the emergency seat release for the newer models (2013 to current).

I had to buy the cover plate for my 2015 650. Got it through the dealer that I purchased my bike from. I think it was about $30 - $40. I put a top case on my bike.
