Hello,

I have installed an after market alarm and I connected it according the manual:

red and black - positive and negative of the battery
two yellow - left and right turning signal.

Everything was working perfectly - alarm, lights, turning signal, high beam - everything as supposed.
BUT when the turning signal switch is at "ON" position (doesn't matter left or right) and I switch on the alarm, or the alarm is ringing - the dashboard light goes on, also the temp gauge goes up and if I put the high beam switch "ON" the high beam blinks with the turning signal. And all this is happening without a key in the bike.

Does anybody has an idea how I could fix it?

Best Regards,
Asen

An inline diode might keep the voltage from back feeding the dash circuits.
Just a thought.....

After considering putting a relays and so on, I think your suggestion is far better and simple.
Thanks.
