OK, I've had my 2012 650 (AN650A) Executive for 3 days now and with all your help ( :thumbup: ) and the Owner's Manual, I've already learned a lot.
I have seen various photos of the same year and model bike and I noticed that the location of the ABS decal(s) seems to vary. Many photos show 2 ABS decals on either side of the front wheel fender. On my bike however, there is only ONE ABS decal located directly above the left side headlight. Nothing on the fender.
Seems odd to me that there would be a variance unless it has to do with country of sale.
Any thoughts?

Me too.
Local 47 down here in SoCal. 35 year member and now happily retired.
3 years as a Grunt-Electrical helper on the line crews, 9 years as an Substation Electrican and the rest as a Utility System Operator (1st Operator) in a large municipal power company. We had everything from 12V to 220KV. A great career.

I have had a 2006, 2008, and now a new 2012 Executive. On the first two the ABS designation was on the fender. I believe in 2010 or2011 models the moved the ABS to the faring.

I have a 09 & mine doesn't have any ABS decal. I did buy it used so maybe the first owner removed it. :?
