So I just did an engine, transmission, and final drive oils / lubricants change, and had a hiccup with the transmission oil.

Following LeDude's well-explained guide, I refilled the transmission oil and waited for some oil to trickle out of the drain plug hole before threading the drain plug back in place, but no oil ever came out of the drain hole, even after I did the full 360 ml.

Is this a problem? Should I add another 40 ml as if I were doing the engine overhaul version?
I scanned various transmission oil threads but didn't see anything about this situation.

thanks,

Blake

I would keep filling until it comes out the overflow hole, as you can't overfill it that way.

These pics. from Allwalk's gallery should clarify.

P.S.
No need to remove the left shield cover, as I have never used the trans oil fill tube. I fill though the overflow hole.

I have only done mine three times, but each time I needed to add just slightly more than the prescribed amount before overflow came out. Maybe 1oz or 2oz +.
