Has anyone installed the chrome garnish?

I just received mine, same as shown on the 650 Executive model, and is made by Suzuki.

I am having trouble removing the four clips holding the old one on.

Any help please?

Welcome to our forum! I can't answer your question, because I've never removed that piece - but I think we probably have some owners who have. If you don't get answer within a day or two, PM me. I'll drag out my service manual and see if I can figure it out.

I've misplaced the instructions that came with my unit but as I recall, you have to first remove the windshield. Then study your new piece to see how it mounts and that should give you a good idea of how to remove the old one. The manual shows 5 places called "hooked part"s. One is at the center bottom, 2 at the upper Left & Right and 2 others to the Left & Right of the lower portion of the air intake.

Thanks for the two posts on this topic.

Yesterday my son came over, took one look at Suzuki instruction sheet, reached his fingers over the top and yanked it off.

Guess I need to be more forceful when pimping up my new Burgman 650.
