Got the Burgman out of the storage area where the bikes hibernate, and took it round the block. As usual, it started immediately, and ran perfectly.
Now to get the VMax and RoadStar out, and here we go!!

My 2013 riding season started on Jan 1st. :D Did a sub-freezing mountain pass ride to watch the sun rise. Got freezing rain later that day. :x
It never stopped just slowed down here in north west Florida.
Me too I never stopped just slowed down here in central Maryland.

The season has not ended in over four years. Have managed to ride at least once a month for the last 50 months. Not to bad for the Northeast. This week I am riding out of St. Augestine
Bought it last week, put 167 miles on her today. The 650 is a different ride. It felt well balanced and sure footed. A little boring not shifting, and pushing a button is not the same (if I wanted a Plymouth I would have bought one). Very nice ride. Decided I will start looking for another 70s CB750. No one ride can answer all needs.
Quail, Welcome to the best forum on the WHOLE WWW.

You will get use to the "Being in the right gear at the right time" soon. The first time you just are loafing along and just nail it without thinking "Should I downshift 1 or 3 gears at this MPH?" Just twist and the computer reacts NOW.

I rode a CBR750-4 back in 1979. It belonged to another soldier and he lost his license and broke a foot while riding drunk/stoned/both. I had the use for 4 weeks. Was a bit faster than my current Honda 305 Superhawk. You can find some of the early "Super Bikes" but not in good shape or cheap. Good luck.
I always have to chuckle when I read these posts.
Having lived in Minnesota I fully understand riding seasons (bikes and snowmobiles) but that's why I now live in the south.
We have a Hot, Warm, and Cool riding season and it lasts all year long. I did actually get 1 Polar Bear ride in but not 2.
With no road salt or snow/ice the Burgy stays charged up and willing to at a moments notice and NEVER Mothballed.
It's a long winter this year. -14 C yesterday (when it's below -10 the Burgman temp shows "Lo - C").

Happy riding

when did it end ...????
In another few months it slows down in this neck of the woods (July/August). I call it "our off season". My years in Minnesota taught me to appreciate warmer weather - so I DO!
OK.......so maybe I have turned into a WIMP.BUT I aint riding until all the sand from the Winter is off of the roads....... Right now - it is just 28 degrees F.
