Does any one have any reports of the new GIVI WS for the 2013 650 being available, a delivery date, or a photo?

I am going on a long trip around August the 11-12th and I would like to take my 2013. But if the GIVI WS is not going to be available by then, I need to get my 2011 ready for the trip.

No, from having been around here for awhile and seen Clearview's development of new low production WSs, I assume it will be a looooong time before they have develop one, if they ever do. Someone recently posted that they talked to Clearview and they not ever have any plans to develop one.

I am afraid it maybe awhile before GIVI has a WS for the 2103 650. When the 07 400 was released it took some time before GIVI's WSs was available. They have a part number on their Italian site, but no picture, which makes me think they have not enough produced one yet.

I hope someone from Europe or UK will have seen or heard something about the GIVI WS since they will get them first.

I would be most surprised if you will get the new Givi shipped to you prior to your planned departure can you not slap a laminar lip on the OEM screen - works well for me.

I thought about that. But I did not know how it would work on the 650. I used one on my 07 400 when the new GIVI WSs where not available. It made the stock WS oscillate at highway speeds. It is good to hear a positive report on it. I was planning on riding my 2011 Exec if I do not get a GIVI WS. However, I really did not want to put the miles (8,300) on it from this trip since I am going to sell it when I return. Maybe I should reconsider taking the 2013. Thanks

Any comments about putting 8,300 miles on the new 2013 or on the 2011Exec (7,400 miles) I will be selling.

I called my dealer and they gave me these numbers for GIVI windshields 650ex takes a D263ST & the 650 takes D257ST but don't know the difference except they are 2-7 inches taller she said. I'd say call for your self but they are suppose to be in stock for 2013 650s

I just read Jetfixer's post and he confirmed that Clearview has no plans for a 2013 windshield for the 650 Burgmans :(
I posted that Clearview emailed me that they would have a windshield available in the fall. If you email them, they will keep your email on file and let you know when they are ready.

Laminar LIP

I mounted my Laminar LIP on my '13 yesterday and took it for a ride. It works surprisingly well. It maybe a good summer WS set up.

For those of you, like me, who needed a "WS fix" sooner than the new WSs will be available, it might be worth looking into.

Don't you think an $11,000 scooter should not need an aftermarket windshield? Harley has made an extra fortune in convincing their customers to buy all these accessories before they ever leave the showroom and try out the stock bike. My suggestion to anyone is always to try out a new machine completely stock for 60-90 days and then when the motor is broken in a bit and you used to the machine you will have a better idea of what you want to spend extra $$$ to change.

Laminar LIP update

During a two day, 915 mile trip, the LIP worked satisfactory. It reduces the wing noise and buffeting. However, it does make the stock WS bounce around when you are behind a trunk or SUV at +55 mph. It was not so bad that I was concerned about, it just moves the WS around.

Sorry Roy, I missed this prior to a 6 day touring trip away.
The laminar lip is an improvement over stock screen alone, it does not however reduce turbulence completely - maybe reduces it by say 70% - for me (6ft 1 in and 32 inch inseam) and sat atop an Airhawk too.;)

I agree, but after having a Clearview tinted and vented windshield, I want another! The extra height available also created a bigger rain deflector. Even full up, the stock windshield still lets you get blasted.
