My 2012 will be 2 years old in September and am pushing 10K on the clock so I decided I would take care of the 2 year & 7500 Mile service (which I didn't do yet) next week. I'm taking next Thursday (my B'day) and Friday off from work which should give me more than enough time to complete the tasks I have lined up. I'm going to to be doing the following if I'm missing anything please let me know so I can take care of it while I have the bike in pieces. Thanks everyone.
To Do List
1) Replace Front and Rear Tires (Bought OEM Brigestones)
2) Change final drive Gear oil (Castrol GTX 90 weight)
3) Change Transmission oil (Castrol GTX 10w-40 4T Dino)
4) Change Crankcase oil (Castrol GTX 10w-40 4T Dino)
5) Change Oil Filter (K & N)
6) Flush & Replace Brake Fluid (Bel-Ray Super DOT4)
7) Flush Coolant system and Replace Coolant (Prestone Pre-Mix 50/50)
8.) Replace Spark Plugs (NGK Iridium IX CR8EIX)
9) Check Valve clearance (Have new Valve cover gasket and bolt washers on hand)
10) Tighten Steering stem while in the front end.(Seems a bit Loose)
11) Install Stebel Nautilus horn.
12) Run 12 gauge power feed to the front of the bike for new power distribution block. (haven't bought the distribution/fuse block yet)
13) Install external whip antenna for stereo. (Antenna on hand)
14) Check torque on all critical bolts/fasteners.
15) Install Fenda Extenda. (Could use some Ideas on this one)
16) Carefully clean out all the poop stuck in between the radiator fins, this is the reason for Item 15.
17) Detail bike while it's apart on the lift with a few frosty beverages.
Most important reminder to self Do not damage the tupperware. It's way too expensive to replace that stuff.
