Just bought this bike and first trip down the road at 60mph ,she started screeching and screaming from drive area.the nut from variator came off and smashed through inner cover,a.d outer cover,.back order on parts.,and have no idea how long to get them,was told at least 2 months.wonder if someone could tell me why this happened,so I don’t get it again.thanks max

First guess would be the variator wasn't properly installed and/or the nut wasn't properly torqued. Sorry but a couple ugh-uh-dug-uhs from an impact is not proper torque. Same goes for the clutch bell.

A bit early for flowers here yet ,but an alternative could be snow

It think the guy who replaced belt put washer on backward,or didn’t seat belt properly while tightening variator nut
