Hi.
I'll be pulling my 2012, 400 Burgman out of storage and of course intend on putting the battery back in it and turning the key. Is there anything I need to know about start up after sitting for 4 months?
I'll check tire air pressure too, so does anyone have a guideline on that? We ride 2-up, total of 300 lbs.
I've done this for years with other toys, but each has there own little 1st start up quirk, and I don't want to experiment with my Burger.
Thanks for any tips.
Mike.

Of course the clock will have to be reset. I always turn the key and let everything reset itself while adjusting the clock. This allows for the FI computer to have time to get re-sync'ed. Then start it up and take it easy for the first few miles so it can recalibrate itself.

If you didn't do this beforehand, put stabil fuel or seafoam into a full tank of gas to make sure you dissolve any particulate build up and break up any water. Also, if you are neard when you should change your oil, go ahead and do it anyways. And check your tire if it has been exposed to fluctuations in temperature to make sure no cracks have developed. Finally, if it has been a while, change out the coolant.

The standard for service every 2 years is to change all fluids & filters.

All I would do is do a quick service check, gas it up and ride. Why sweat the small stuff, its a 2012. I could see if it was a 2007 with everything origanal, even the tires, then I would want to knit pick.

The coolant is fine if its topped off. Brake fluid is fine if topped off. Oil is fine if fresh and topped off. Gas is fine if fresh and topped off. Airfilter is fine if clean. Do you have the OEM air in the tires?????? :D
