Hello all,

I just hit 17K on my 07 400 and I am planning on replacing the belt and replacing the stock rollers with Dr. Pulley ones. I ordered 19 Grams weighted ones.

Since I am going to have a good bit of the CVT apart I am wondering if there are any other items I should replace and or inspect?

I still have questions as to whether or not i should upgrade to a different clutch? I still have the OEM clutch and while I wish I know how much pad was left I just do not at this time. If I don't upgrade to a different one or replace with a new stock one I will at least inspect with a mirror at the time I replace the belt. Suggestions on what I should do about the clutch? Replace now with OEM or aftermarket or just wait and inspect?

I have not replaced any of the bearings on the bike and I am wondering if there are certain ones that should be replaced or inspected now?

Those are the main things on my mind at the point. Any suggestions would be appriciated!

For sure replace the gear oil.
I haven't done it on the burgman yet, but on my china scooter I get around 12,000 out of a clutch and about six to eight on my belts. I always lube the roller pin bearings in the clutch during belt service. That is about. All that is required and clutch pad inspection is easy with clutch removal.

Other thing is carefully blow out the best dust from the area.

I replaced the 3 shoe clutch with the 5 and I am much happier. Just inspected it at alittle more than 10000 miles on it. And it has 60% still on it. And I love my 19gram sliders.

Any issues or additional parts needed when going from a 3 shoe to a 5 shoe clutch? Did you replace any bearings at the same time?

No need for bearings unless they are bad. The 5 shoe came stock on 08 and above. You can get it for 07direct replacement from Suzukipartsonline.com. check the bearings if they're no groves or if it still roles smooth. Then your good. I had 31860 miles on the original belt. Way to long. Will replce belt every 20000 miles now. My 19 gram sliders show very little sign of wear after 10000 miles. My rpms at 50 mph actual is 5000 rpm with new belt.
