Hi All,

08 400

changing the lower end fluid, and the crankcase cover air filter should be cleaned?

Seems a dip in some hot soapy water would be the call?

Seems finding foam air filter friendly spray lurication would not be necessary?

What do you all pro's do?

Also, getting the case off was a bit tight from the case bearing. So I should lightly grease the bearing/clutch contact connection for next time? Lightly so as to not attract dirt build-up in the bearing area?

!!! Thanks in advance !!!

Yes, Yes, No, and Yes. :)
The filter should be cleaned and soapy water sounds good, just rinse it well and air dry.
No oil ... it could possibly get sucked in and affect the drive surfaces.
As for the bearing, a little grease is fine for future removals. Did you use bolts to remove the case.? If not, two 8mm bolts thread into the case ... alternately tightened, will press the case off.
