I have a "04" 400 Burgman and am looking for the fuse box. I have followed the advise in the forum, but my 04 doesn't have two screws that hold the front Tupperware in place. I removed four screws from the panel around the dash(speedo, tach, etc.)but nothing seems to come loose. Can anyone help an old fool find the blown fuse? The one I'm looking for is for the lighter.

On each side of the windshield there are 2 screws 1 on each side.
They are at the top corners of the dash above the vent looking things.
Once removed the front tupperware strip will come off with a little persuasion.
The fuses will be seen when the area is exposed.
Good Luck!

As a little more calcification, the panel you are trying to remove is the painted one that separates the headlights and the windshield. The screw are located on either end and you access them from the dash side of the windshield. One is about 3 inches right of the temp gauge and the other is about 3 inches left of the fuel gauge. As Scootereno said once those screws are out the panel can be pull off straight to the front but it takes a little persuasion to get it to release.

I want to thank Scootereno & Buffalo for your help. I got the screws out and accessed the fuzes. None were bad , but I still cannot get any juice out of the lighter. Maybe the lighter socket is defective. Looks like I'm in for some more research. But thanks anyway

The lighter socket only has power when the key is ON...
it turns off when you turn the key Off....that way an
accessory cannot run-down the battery.
