Purchased my 400 new in July 2008. Been down twice. First time out with my brand new learners permit a car flipped a U-turn in front of me and I low-sided it (without hitting the other vehicle.) Despite numerous witnesses it's no contact, no foul here in Washington state. I decided to let it go as a lesson learned and little damage. These two wheel vehicles are dangerous! The next crash was another low-speed affair. Just starting out the rear wheel hit some decaying straw-pine needles covering the street and I took another dive. Did I say these two wheel vehicles are dangerours? Yes, well, I went through the beginners riding class and have taken the intermediate class twice. One just can't be too careful out there so ride safe all!

400cc's are plenty for my needs and the CV transmission frees me from shifting. Yes, these belts are pretty costly (~$500) to change every 15,000 miles.
The only addition is a tail trunk.
Comforts? I don't need no stinking comforts...though heated grips would be nice in the winter. Oh wait! I did add the handguards to shield the hands from the wind. :-)
