Hitch receiver in place, drill for and weld in a 1\2" nut and bolt 1 1/4" above the existing hitch pin hole.

Hitch before install,3/8" bolts connect supports to hitch,1/2" wire rope clamps connect support rods to 1/2" OD steel frame under trunk
