Battery Options for Burgman 400
This is a work in progress since there are a multitude of companies that offer a battery for the Burgman 400. Just google the model number YTX9BS. The Burgman manual states the OEM battery is 8 Ah, but a larger capacity such as 9Ah or 10 Ah is preferred by some members.
The batteries mentioned below are some that other members have used and have found to be worth while or reflect a better warranty than most. When choosing a battery, look for the warranty on the battery, where it is made, and that its dimensions will fit the battery compartment. Check whether the battery is sealed and maintenance free, or if you have to add acid to it initially.

Batteries Plus- __has local stores throughout the U.S.A.May be an advantage if a battery needed returning, since it may be much easier to deal with a live person than an online dealer.
Impact Battery.com Adventure Power UTX9 On sale as of 4/18/10 for $39.95 with around $11.00 S&H to middle of USA.__http://www.impactbattery.com/motorcycle-atv-scooter-jet-ski-battery/sealed-agm-list/adventure-power-utx9.html
Walmart –__Power Max GTX9-BS $64.95 Some members have chosen a larger battery than the 9Ah. This causes a very tight fit and does not allow the battery panel to be secured in position. Some members have chosen not to use the panel, knowing that they can return the battery to the store if there is a problem with the battery. Especially an advantage if you’re away on the road – there’s usually a Walmart around.
